TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS” DOI: 10.33868/0365-8392-2025-3-284-38-44 Abstract. The article examines directions for revising the DSTU 7013:2009 standard “Buses specialized for the transportation of schoolchildren. Technical requirements”. The revision of the standard provided for: – updating of the regulatory framework, namely removal of regulatory documents that have lost their validity in Ukraine, application of regulatory documents to replace those that have lost their validity, application of new regulatory documents; – the unification of the design of the bus and its components provided for the selection of the optimal class of the base bus, the use of passenger seats of the same standard size for students of all age groups; – introduction of modern safety requirements, namely the use of three-point passenger safety belts with a guide strap on all seats, which are additionally used for students of younger grades; – to ensure the comfort of student transportation in the spring and summer period, equipping school buses with air conditioning; – to ensure accessibility and for students with limited mobility who use a wheelchair, the application of the requirements established in Annex 8 of the UN Regulations No. 107-05 Uniform technical prescriptions for the official ap-proval of wheeled vehicles of categories M2 and M3 regarding their general design; – to ensure normal evacuation possibilities, the arrangement of seats for students five in one row (3+2) was canceled.
