ENERGY EFFICIENCY CONTROL SYSTEM
FOR VEHICULAR POWER PLANTS IN OPERATING MODES
DOI: 10.33868/0365-8392-2025-2-283-24-32
Abstract. The article is devoted to the development of a control system structure and evaluation criteria for the energy efficiency of a vehicular power plant (VPP) in operating modes. A systematic approach to managing the vehicular power plant operating modes has been developed, which includes the overall formation of an intelligent control system (ICS) for vehicular power plant operating modes, the formation of an information subsystem for data exchange during vehicular power plant operating modes management, the formation of a mathematical subsystem of the intelligent control system for vehicular power plant operating modes, and the evaluation of the effectiveness of intelligent management of vehicu-lar power plant energy efficiency in various operating modes for specific scenarios of the “VPP-ICS” system development. The structure of the “VPP-ICS” system has been formed, within which the processes are conditionally distributed among three subsystems: informational, mathematical, and physical. The system ensures the determination of control parame-ters for vehicular power plant operating processes to maximize its efficiency in corresponding operating modes by achieving the maximum value of the vehicular power plant energy efficiency criterion. The patterns of changes in indi-vidual and overall integral criteria of the vehicular power plant of the BOGDAN-21114 with a 4FS 8.2/7.56 engine in op-erating modes corresponding to urban conditions have been evaluated. The proposed approach enables the investigation of the effectiveness of various methods for influencing the vehicular power plant operating process, including the use of alternative fuels and additives to conventional fuels, in operating modes based on the specified energy efficiency criteri-on.
