DOI: 10.33868/0365-8392-2025-1-282-63-68

Abstract. The development of an effective road freight transportation management system is an important factor in ensuring the stability of economic processes, especially in rural areas where the transport infrastructure is underdeveloped. The article examines the main problems of transportation organization, including the limited transport infrastructure, seasonal fluctuations in demand for transportation, insufficient level of implementation of modern information technologies and problems of route optimization.
The paper examines the current problems of road freight transportation management, which arise due to the insufficient quality of road infrastructure, uneven distribution of transport flows, increasing costs for fuel and maintenance of transport. The main challenges associated with the optimization of logistics processes, effective use of transport infrastructure and the introduction of innovative technologies in the field of freight transportation are outlined. The main factors complicating passenger transportation are: outdated infrastructure and worn-out rolling stock, low level of service and comfort for passengers, insufficient level of digitalization, environmental problems, imperfect legislative framework and lack of effective state regulation, etc.
Keywords: road transportation, freight transport, logistics systems, route optimization, digital technologies.
